Applied Laser Development at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
The Laser Innovation Lab is located in Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, and is headed by Dr Richard McCracken. Our areas of research include the development of new laser sources for multi-photon microscopy; mid-infrared single-photon generation; and frequency comb enabled astrophotonics.
We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher working on high-energy OPOs for three-photon microscopy. The position is for 3 years, and the successful candidate will develop compact, low-rep-rate OPO cavities to produce sub-µJ pulses in the near-infrared.
