The Laser Innovation Lab is located in Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, and is headed by Dr Richard McCracken. Our areas of research include the development of new laser sources for multi-photon microscopy; mid-infrared single-photon generation; and frequency comb enabled astrophotonics.

Welcome to summer student Danny Hunter!

Danny Hunter is joining the lab for six weeks while she carries out a summer project. Danny will be developing novel OPO geometries for versatile wavelength tuning, and is supported by an IPaQS studentship.
