Applied Laser Development at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
The Laser Innovation Lab is located in Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, and is headed by Dr Richard McCracken. Our areas of research include the development of new laser sources for multi-photon microscopy; mid-infrared single-photon generation; and frequency comb enabled astrophotonics.
We have published several papers in the past few months, including some exciting blue astrocomb results; a novel spectrograph calibration method; and a low-repetition rate OPO based incorporating a Herriott cell. See the Publications tab for more details!
